All commercial construction plans and developments require (3) three sets of plans to be submitted to the City Building Department with architectural and/or engineer raised seal as required per project (Florida Law). Prior to submission plans must be pre approved by the Lake City Fire Department as complying with Fire Codes of the State of Florida. Note: Plans must be submitted to Fire Department by applicant, Building Department is not responsible for furnishing plans to Fire Department.
Single Family Residential projects or plans are not charged a plan review fee. However, each plan must comply with architect/engineer requirements or certified under alternate methods established within the Florida Building Code, Chapter 16, by a qualified person.
