A Message from the City Manager
Welcome to the City of Lake City Web site. Results of a recent survey indicate that over 70% of adults now use the internet. Therefore, providing a Web site with accurate, updated information to the Lake City community and beyond is a priority to me and City staff. I believe you will find our site easy to navigate, with the information you want literally at your fingertips.
Strategically located north central Florida, Lake City is home to more than 12,000 residents who enjoy homeownership opportunities ranging from affordable housing to executive homes. Educational opportunities are abundant with the location of Lake City Community College as well as easy access to the University of Florida and Saint Leo. The Lake City community also enjoys an expanding business marketplace and an overall unique quality of life.
The Mayor, City Council, and City Staff work diligently to provide an outstanding quality of life and excellent range of activities for the citizens of Lake City. We encourage our residents to participate in the local government process by attending City Council meetings which are held on the first and third Monday of each month and commence at 7:00 p.m.
