CITY OFFICALS VISIT WASHINGTON D.C.


City of Lake City officials went to Washington, D.C. to meet with Congressional and Senate members along with their staff to discuss matters of importance including the City of Lake City’s waste water treatment project and CNG legislation or (Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles). The visit produced good discussions about the environment and the current economic strains facing the State and the Lake City area. City officials also discussed several appropriation requests that could have a profound effect on job creation and community investment.

 

While visiting, the City presented to Senator Bill Nelson a key to City along with a commemorative seal for the City’s 150th birthday.

Presentation of Check from

Department of Community Affairs

for Tornado Disaster

Mayor Witt along with Councilman Jefferson, Gail Stafford, Representative Boyd, City Manager Scott Reynolds, Scott Koons from the Regional Planning Council, Senator Oelrich, Mario Taylor and Stefan Kalakowski accept a $1.4 Million check from the Department of Community Affairs for the rebuilding of homes after the March 7th tornado.  Message From Secretary Pelham to Mayor Witt

CDBG Grant Presentation

Housing Grant

Vice-Mayor John Robertson is receiving a $750,000 Housing grant from the Department of Community Affairs in Tallahassee. This grant will improve the quality of life for many of our citizens.
