The Planning and Zoning Office is under the supervision of the Growth Management Department. A Planning Technician handles most day to day requests concerning land use, zoning and land development regulations.
Request for maps pertaining to the Land Development Regulations may be requested through the Planning Technician.
Petitions for exceptions, variances, zoning changes, land use changes, and amendments to the text or zoning atlas can be downloaded from this site.
Petitions are heard in Public Hearing by a seven (7) member board which meets on the first Tuesday of each month. Petitions must be filed at least fifteen days prior to a scheduled meeting for advertisement and be deemed a complete petition prior to advertisement to the public. Site plan reviews shall be reviewed and approved by City Staff, state agencies and utility authority prior to hearing before the Planning Board. (exceptions-site plan reviews)
