The Patrol Division is responsible for general law enforcement duties and preventative patrol. Uniformed police officers are responsible for the primary response to calls for service, traffic enforcement, street-level narcotics enforcement, preliminary and follow-up investigations, and preventative patrol

The Patrol Division consists of the three zones/districts that provide the city with uniform police services on a 24-hour basis. The men and women of the Patrol Division are the forefront of the department's community service efforts.

The patrol officers are supplemented by the part-time and reserves officers, who are trained to handle a variety of routine law enforcement-related duties. The Patrol Division is committed to providing high-quality, community oriented police services.
