The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of an unpaid Reserve Police Officer in the Police Department. Applicant must meet the minimum standards and training as specified in the Florida Statutes and be certified by the State of Florida.
A Reserve Police Officer is sworn with full Police powers and is required to meet the same minimum requirements as regular full-time Police Officer. The Reserve Police Officer serves the community by volunteering hours in various capacities within the Police Department.
Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with good moral character and background. Successful applicant must have a valid Florida driver’s license and will be required to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
