Citizens are encouraged to participate in City of Lake City meetings. The City of Lake City encourages civility in public discourse and requests that speakers direct their comments to the Chair. Signs or Props are not permitted in the meeting room. Citizens are encouraged to provide comments in writing to the City Clerk before meetings or during meetings for inclusion into the public record. Citizens may also provide input to individual council members via office visits, phone calls, letters and e-mail that will become public record.

1.  Ordinance No. 2019-2128, (final reading) if adopted, will amend Chapter 70, Article V, “Firefighters’ Retirement”, of the Code of the City of Lake City, Florida, by adopting Section 70-135 to provide for a defined contribution component to the Retirement Plan; providing for severability; providing for conflicts; and providing for an effective date.

2.  Ordinance No. 2019-2129, (final reading) if adopted, will amend Section 66-5 of the Code of the City of Lake City, by adding an additional exception which allows for firearm discharge while lawfully hunting waterfowl or alligator on Alligator Lake; providing for severability; and providing an effective date.

4.  Ordinance No. 2019-2131, (final reading), if adopted will amend and restate Section 22-175 of Division 2, Article VII of Chapter 22 of the City Code relating to minimum standards for basic equipment facilities as created by City Ordinance No. 2007-1112, as amended; providing for adoption of the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code; providing for repeal of all ordinances in conflict with this ordinance; providing for a severability; providing for codification; and providing for an effective date.

A.  ORDINANCES:     

1.  Ordinance No. 2019-2133 (first reading), if adopted, will establish procedures relating to access to and disclosures by Public Officials; providing for severability; providing for conflicts; providing for codification; and providing an effective date.

B.  RESOLUTIONS:

1.  City Council Resolution No. 2019-127, if adopted, will approve and accept the final replat for a parcel of property filed by Eric Gleman, Parcel No. 06-4S-17-08028-122, within the City of Lake City, Florida; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; providing an effective date.

2.  City Council Resolution No. 2019-129, if adopted, will declare certain property owned by the City to be surplus to its needs and sold at a publicly noticed sale pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions and requirements of Section 2-183 of the Code of the City of Lake City, Florida and authorizes the City to remove such surplus property from the Fixed Assets of the City when sold.

3.  City Council Resolution No. 2019-130, if adopted, will authorize the City to enter into a contract for the procurement of software for Emergency Dispatch Operations with Priority Dispatch Corporation for an amount not-to-exceed $53,125.50.

4.  City Council Resolution No. 2019-131, if adopted, will agree for the City of Lake City to remain in the Negotiating Class in the Federal Opioid Multi-District Litigation in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio; repealing all resolutions in conflict; providing severability; and providing for an effective date.

A.  Discussion and Possible Action-Consider Lien Forgiveness for Special Magistrate Case No. 2015-00000212 located at 170 NW Martin Luther King Street, Parcel No. 00-00-00-11350-000, for D. Bernard McNeal (Dave Young)
