Originally launched in 2019, this program provides local high school students with structured summer employment to keep them engaged during out-of-school months while building positive relationships with law enforcement and the community. Participants work Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., earning $15 per hour and up to $2,880 before taxes, while gaining valuable work experience and references. Eligible students must be ages 16–18 (or 19 if graduating in 2026), enrolled in school, have reliable transportation, and live in Columbia County. Key dates include an application deadline of April 24, 2026, with the program running from June 8 through July 16, 2026.
