SALARY RANGE:       $29,040.85 - $46,602.04

The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of Code Enforcement Officer.  This position requires technical work enforcing/investigating City Codes of Ordinances and issuing Occupation Licenses. 

Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of City Code of Ordinances of the City; have the ability to enforce Ordinances with firmness, tact and impartiality, and to deal courteously with the general public; have knowledge of the geography of the City, proximate incorporated areas and the City’s road network.  This individual will be skilled in the use of a personal computer; understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions; and have the ability to keep records and make reports from such records.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must have at least a High School Diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years experience in dealing with the public.  Applicant must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and successfully complete physical, drug screen and background check.
