MINIMUM SALARY RANGE:      $31,200.00

The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of WTP Operator. This position requires technical work in the operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant.  This position assists in the operation of water treatment and maintenance to include; taking samples, testing and supervising the running of test.   Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the treatment plant operations, policies, procedures and methods; have the ability to maintain records and reports and have the ability to organize, establish priorities and assure high quality operations at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and minimum of one (1) year actual experience in a water treatment plant.  Applicant must possess a Class “C” Water Operators Certificate as issued by the State of Florida. We will also accept applications for those who possess a Class “A” or Class “B” Water Operator Certificate as issued by the State of Florida. Applicant must have a valid Florida driver’s license, and will be required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
