MINIMUM STARTING SALARY:  $31,573.57

 

The City of Lake City is accepting applications for a highly responsible position that assists the department with administrative tasks.  Oversee the day-to-day administrative and business duties for the Lake City Gateway Airport, Airport Industrial Park, and Fixed-Base Operations and works closely with other City Departments.  This position reports to the Airport Manager.

The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate time sheets, compile, calculate and track project hours in preparation for payroll.  The candidate will be responsible for processing Purchasing Orders and Invoices while maintain spreadsheets, ordering supplies and the processing of parts, service order and purchases.  This candidate assists in overseeing the enterprise business program, coordinates and maintains files of certificates of insurance liability prior to activity on airport property.  The ideal candidate will prepare and submit biweekly reports of Department activity, assists with development and preparation of Department’s annual budget, monitor the approved budget and provides input and recommendations to the Department Director. This candidate coordinates special projects and programs as assigned while assisting with coordinating calendar invites and scheduling meetings.  Represents the department in meetings and conferences of aviation committees and associations chamber of commerce, governmental agencies and other groups, as requested.  The ideal candidate must possess outstanding customer service and administrative skills.

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associates of Science or Arts degree/or 4 years of in comparable any combination of education, training and business experience in airport management, city administration, fixed-base operations, or travel industry.  Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
