SALARY RANGE: $31,200.00- $51,568.82

The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Clerk.  This is a specialized clerical, paraprofessional work in Human Resources involving public contact responsibilities in the Human Resources Administration area. This position would be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department through administrative and clerical work. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Director.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of human resources applications; have knowledge of City policies, ordinances, and labor contracts; and have knowledge of modern office procedures, and practices. The ideal candidate will have the ability to implement human resources procedures; be skilled in using a calculator, computer, printer and photocopier; the ability to access file cabinets for filing and retrieval of data; and ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer. This candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work in a faced paced environment; possess strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independent as well as in a team environment; and ability to communicate effectively.

Minimum qualifications:

Applicant must have a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and three (3) years in a clerical environment experience required. Experience in Human Resources is preferred. Applicant must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Applicant will be required to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
