STARTING SALARY:         $68,105.64

The City of Lake City is accepting applications for the position of Senior Planner in the Growth Management Department.

Ideal candidate will have knowledge of urban planning and development. Thorough knowledge of specialization such as land use planning/zoning; transportation planning; environmental planning; urban design; housing, historic preservation; and economic development. Skilled in research methods and statistical principles related to urban growth and development. Skilled in methods and techniques or effective technical report preparation and presentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, economics, architecture, landscape architecture or a related field. Preferred master’s degree in planning or closely related field and at least five (5) years of experience in the planning profession. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) preferred.
