Application for Water, Sewer, and/or Natural Gas Tap – Capacity Commitment

 

TAP AND IMPACT APPLICATION PROCESS

 

Step 1

 

The customer submits a completed tap application.

 

Step 2

 

The Utility Service Coordinator sends a copy of the application to:

Distributions & Collections Director

Water Treatment Plant Director

Waste Water Treatment Plant Director

Natural Gas Director

Building Official

 

Step 3

 

Utility Staff will review the application and determine:

Available Water capacity, if applicable

Available Sewer capacity, if applicable

Available Gas capacity, if applicable

The approval process may take up to 2 weeks to complete.

 

Step 4

 

If no issues exist, then a cost estimate will be prepared. The Utility Service Coordinator will notify the customer.

 

Step 5

 

Once all fees are received, the Utility Service Coordinator will generate a Tap work order. The Utility Department will schedule for the tap to be completed.

It may take up to 3 weeks to complete the work order. The customer will be contacted if additional time is needed for completion.

 

Step 6

 

The utility account is established and will begin billing all utility fees applicable on the date that the water or gas meter is set. (example: water, sewer, and natural gas)
