Chief Gerald Butler has accepted an invitation from American Legion Post 57 to host 2026’s third Quarterly Breakfast with the Chief.
Please join us for a complimentary breakfast, informative discussion, and community forum on neighborhood issues.
Breakfast will be promptly served at 9 am, be sure to arrive a few minutes early.

Join us for an evening of fun, learning, and community connection. The event features touch-a-truck displays, K9 demonstrations, games, prizes, and entertainment. Admission, the raffle, and entertainment are free. Food vendors will be on site, and guests are encouraged to bring cash for purchases.

The Lake City Police Department participates in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible way for community members to dispose of unused or expired medications. Proper disposal helps prevent prescription drug misuse and keeps medications from being accidentally ingested by children or pets.
During the event, residents can bring expired, unwanted, or unused prescription medications and other pharmaceutical substances for safe disposal by law enforcement. No appointments are required, and the service is free and anonymous.
